Municipal Climate Decisions Calendar

This event calendar is a collaborative space to compile and share information about upcoming council and committee meetings from across municipalities in the GTA. The calendar specifically highlights meeting ​topics focused on climate change and sustainability, land use, transportation, infrastructure and environment, and active transportation. The aim is to increase awareness and accessibility of municipal meetings, encourage public attendance, and lower barriers for the community members to stay informed about municipal decisions.

Burlington Integrated Transportation Advisory Committee

The Integrated Transportation Advisory Committee (ITAC) is a committee made up of community volunteers and reports to City Council through the Community Planning, Regulation & Mobility Committee. This advisory committee focuses on all forms of transportation in the community including pedestrian, cycling, transit and driving. The committee provides input to Council and staff on policies, initiatives and strategies affecting transportation including but not limited to: road safety, cycling, transit and integrated mobility. Whitby Active Transportation and Safe Roads Advisory Committee

This Advisory Committee meeting will be held in a hybrid meeting format. Members of the public may attend this meeting virtually or in-person. The Burlington Sustainable Development Committee is an advisory committee of Burlington Council. Our role in the community is to promote the principles and objectives of Sustainable Development and to advise and assist City staff and Council members on these issues. We do this by reviewing and commenting on land use policies and development applications, researching sustainable development issues and preparing position papers, and by participating in and hosting special sustainability events. The members of the Burlington Sustainable Development Advisory Committee are volunteer citizens who have been appointed by Council to advise on issues that relate to sustainable development. During the day, we are, or have been, architects, biologists, business people, developers, engineers, musicians, planners, stay-at-home parents, university students and more. Our common ground is our passion to minimize impacts on the environment and the belief that the City of Burlington is a great place to live, work and play.
